The ISO 37001 standard was developed to establish, implement, maintain and enhance an anti-bribery program that allows to prevent, to detect and to address bribery risks in organizations. One of its main purposes is to support the organization complying with local anti-bribery-laws.

Helping to improve anti-bribery compliance on an international base, ISO 37001 is considered to be a major step forward in the fight against bribery.

The standard, which replaced the British Standard 10500, provides a number of requirements that represent globally recognized good practice for anti-bribery.
